Shohei Ohtani returned to the hill on Sunday for his second start as a jar for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
It was a strong attempt in another shortened outing for the two-way star, which returns to a normal pitch after undergoing UCL operation in 2023.

Ohtani made his pitching debut for the Dodgers Monday with a start of one inning that led to two strokes and one earned run in a 4-3 win over the San Diego Padres. He improved on Sunday against the Washington Nationals in a match The Dodgers won 13-7.
Sunday’s excursion was also limited to a single turn. But Ohtani did not allow a hit while scoring his first two blows in a Dodgers uniform.
The turn had an effective start for Ohtani, which caused a first place of the lead of CJ Abrams. Projected All-Star James Wood made Ohtani work as the second batter of the day and first reached an error by the outdoor field Mookie Betts on a 2-2 score. Wood was the only batter that reached the base against Ohtani.
Ohtani has no. 3 Hitter Luis Garcia jr. Work up to a 2-2 score. Then he caused a swinging strike three on a whiper that sank low and inside. Garcia tried to check his swing, but failed and was called out.
Ohtani then faced, Nathaniel Lowe. He throws a splitter into the ground that is away from the catcher Dalton who is in a hurry, so Wood could progress to second place. But wood would not come any further.

On the seventh pitch of the pitch with a 2-2 score, Ohtani throws a 88 mph cutter that swept over the plate low and outside. Lowe swung and missed and returned to the Dugout with a final, Ohtani’s second of the day.
It appears to be the final pitch of Ohtani, as manager Dave Roberts Ohtani replaced the hill with Ben Casparius for the second inning.
Ohtani threw 18 stands, including 12 strikes, with two swinging strike and no hikes, hits or runs allowed. His fast ball dropped at 99 km / h, and he threw an arsenal of stands that also contained his cutter, sweeper and splitter.

It was an encouraging excursion for the three-time All-Star Pitcher, who has not handled a full load on the hill since August 23, 2023 when he was a member of the Los Angeles Angels. As it started for the angels, Ohtani underwent surgery to restore the Ulnar collateral ligament for the second time in his right elbow. He previously underwent Tommy John -surgery in 2018.
Ohtani joined the Dodgers the next off -season as a free agent and had an MVP year on the board during a World Series Championships campaign for the Dodgers. He returned to the hill last week after a dismissal of almost two years.

The Dodgers relieved Ohtani with bullpen and batting practice sessions. They are now limiting his time on the hill as a starter, hoping to increase his workload as the season progresses and they are looking for a second consecutive World Series title.
Through two excursions, the pitching comeback seems to be planning for Ohtani.
