I have spent the morning trying to reach the end of A, outer saliva in x, outer Between La Dodgers’ baseball team and American immigration and customs implementation (ICE).
Dodgers claimed in X that “ice agents came to Dodger Stadium and asked for permission to enter the parking lot. They were denied entry.”
Ice’s answer was, “False, we were never there.” This exchange on X has been seen 25 million times since yesterday.
The US Internal Security Department oversees ICE and another immigration implementation agency called CBP (Customs and Protection of the US Border).
Department said on x, outer Since CBP vehicles were “very short” in the car park, but were not carrying out enforcement activities.
We have Verified a video showing protesters shouting “Ice Out of La”, outer to federal agents staying close to the stadium. ICE activities in the Los Angeles area earlier this month were followed by several days of turmoil.
We magnified the images of the agents and examined their marks. As they share some resemblances to images of ice signs – which we found online – they seem to be a match for those worn by CBP agents (eagle shape, for example).
Some of the agents in the images are not wearing marks or any identifying clothes, but those who appear to be CBP and not ice agents.
We asked the Department of Internal Security what agents were using the parking lot, but they did not provide any details.
