The internal secretary will move to pursue Palestine’s action group in the coming weeks, effectively calling them a terrorist organization, the BBC understands.

Yvette Cooper is preparing a written statement to settle in front of parliament on Monday – which if passed will become a member of the illegal group.

The decision comes as a summary of security begins at military bases throughout the United Kingdom, as pro-Palestinian activists entered Raf Brize Norton in Oxfordshire and sprinkled the two red-painted military planes.

Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer condemned the action as “shameful”, describing it as an “act of vandalism”.

The BBC has contacted Palestine’s action for comment.

Terrorism Police Counter -East Counter confirmed that its specialized officers were investigating the incident along with Thames Valley police and the Ministry of Defense (MOD).

Police against terrorism added that the incident happened in the early hours of Friday and that the investigation was “continuous to establish the correct circumstances”.

Pictures posted online by Palestine Action on Friday were shown to two people inside the Oxfordshire air base in the dark, with a riding a scooter up to a Voyager Airbus and spraying paint on its Jet engine.

After sharing the footage, a spokesman said: “Despite publicly condemning the Israeli government, Britain continues to send military cargo, flies spy planes over Gaza and replenish US fighter and Israeli fighter jets.”

The group claimed that its activists had avoided security and put the air-air fuel “out of service”.

However, RAF engineers have evaluated the damage, with a source of protection before telling the BBC that they did not expect the incident to affect operations.

Thames Valley police earlier said they had received a report on people who had access to the base and causing criminal damage.

“The searches are continuing to find and arrest those responsible,” the Force said.

The incident aroused anger among some MPs, with the UK Reform leader Nigel Farage and Shadow Secretary Robert Jenrick calling for the group to be banned.

Since the beginning of the current war in Gaza, Palestine’s action has been engaged in activities that have been aimed at mainly weapons companies. In May, she was responsible for daubing a US military plane in Ireland.

RAF BRize Norton serves as a center for strategic air transport in the UK and fuels, including flights to Akrotiri Raf in Cyprus. Air Force have made discoveries over Gaza outside the base of Cyprus.
