Ron Washington will not run the angels for an indefinite period due to a healthcare, reports Sam Blum of athletics. He will attend tonight’s game against the Astros and will watch from the suite. Bank coach Ray Montgomery will manage for how long Washington is not available.

Shortly before he reported the news about Washington, Blum noted that the angels held a meeting of only players. GM Perry Minasian is expected to address the media soon. Mike Digiovanna transfer A remark from Minasian that Washington has not felt good over the past few days.

Washington, 73, is in his second season leading the Halo’s. They lost a franchise record 99 games a year ago, but were much more competitive this season. They take a record of 36-38 in this weekend’s set against Houston. They are third in the Al West, 6.5 games behind the Astros. It is only two games in which a shattered wildlife card photo remains. Their run -difference of -60 is fourth in the US league, but only the White Sox and A’s look firmly out of the race in the Al.

Montgomery has been the Halos’ Bench coach since 2022. He held the post under each of Joe Maddon, Phil Nevin and Washington. Montgomery spent some time as acting manager during the ’22 campaign when Nevin was suspended for ten games for his role in a bank erected against the Mariners. The 55-year-old man has never held a full management position, but has been mentioned as a candidate in the past during the 2023 rental process that eventually led to Washington. MLBTR sends the best wishes to recover quickly.
