On the contrary, he noted, the business sense suggested very strongly that the economy is “on the verge of a recession”.
Putin showed statistics showing that the gross domestic product is still increasing – by 1.5 percent in the first four months of the year. However, analysts have stressed that this is due to the increasing volumes of production by the defense sector to fight the war in Ukraine. The civil sectors of the economy have slowed significantly, as the government has completed various subsidy programs over the past year, especially for housing mortgages.
The government is being squeezed more than at any time since the conquest of the fact that global prices for raw oil, whose exports generate a third of its revenue, have fallen to the lowest in more than three years after Saudi Arabia and its breast allies opened a battle to win the more high -profile market.
Putin’s public comments are often aimed at resolving disputes between various agencies, businesses and clicks that fight for influence on the Kremlin. In recent months, the tension has become more noticeable between large business and the Central Bank, which has had to collect interest rates in more than 20 percent to restore inflation caused by excessive government spending.
Putin, who has supported the Central Bank throughout, again referred to her policy as “responsible” on Friday. But he warned that lowering the inflation, which is still operating by nearly 10 percent, was “far from the whole picture”.
“Our most important task this year is to overcome the growing economy,” he said. “This is moderate inflation, and low employment, and the continuation of a positive economic dynamic. Important is important to maintain all indicators of how our (different) sectors and companies feel.”
Putin did not indicate any indication at the conference that economic problems were ready to force any reconciliation with the West on the fate of Ukraine.
“I have often said the Russians and Ukraine are the same people,” he said in a panel discussion. “In this sense, all Ukraine is ours.”
