Churchesz an ideal Robertson -Oppetitioner

Analysis by Mark Carey

If a peak churches are against Peak Robertson, the competition would be fought much more closely-but it is fair to say that an energetic 21-year-old would be an upgrade of a 31-year-old entering the twilight of his career.

No Liverpool fan can be everything different from glowing in their praise for Robertson in a red shirt, but his powers are weakening compared to previous seasons as more defensive mistakes crawled into his game last season. Churchesz’s relentless offensive attitude means that he can sometimes turn off defensively, but as a player who still reaches his peak, there is a lot of opportunity to improve his positioning out of possession.

In the future, there is little doubt about churchesz’s relentless runs forward – which is excellent with his respective left wing with experiencing or overlapping runs to expand the opposition defense. About the top seven leagues in Europe (as shown below), and you will struggle to find a player more active to make such underlining runs. As The athletic It has previously analyzed, underlaying runs was a key factor to help Liverpool’s forwards work last season – either by dragging an opponent out of the shape or providing a passing option to cross from the byline. In this respect, churchesz’s arrival will be seamless for Arne Slot’s side.

What you cannot replace is Robertson’s leadership. The Scotland captain is of utmost importance to keep both spirits and standards high in the group of Liverpool, and he would be justified to point to his winners’ medals – including two leading leagues and a Champions League – to show what it means to have an elite mentality.

Robertson’s name must be tied to the club in Liverpool’s history for his service, but Churchesz’s name represents the future.
