On Saturday, Coastal Carolina and LSU will be in the match 1 of the College World Series Championship Final. And if LSU needs more motivation before the start of the series, Chanticlers’ players certainly gave them at a press conference before the start of the series Friday.
Of the two teams, Coastal Carolina comes in than the team with more to prove, and comes from the Sun Belt conference against the LSU power station from the SEC. But what Chanticleers’ players see things for sure has proven that they belong after achieving 26 consecutive wins. Their last loss was in a April 22 match against the College of Charleston Cougars.
Coastal Carolina head coach Kevin Schnall was accompanied by three of his players, Blake Barthol, Caden Bodine and Jacob Morrison, at a press conference that had their upcoming series against LSU. And immediately it was clear that all three players had a little slide on their shoulders over the series.
When a reporter was asked to mention something admirable to LSU, all three players took a long break before they broke out, and later explained how there is nothing they admire with their opponents.
“Not much,” Morrison replied.
“Yes, I mean, we’re not really worried about the Tigers,” Barthol says. “We’re more a self -directed team. We are only focused on our team and our team. ‘

On the one hand, the question of the reporter was a little strange. After all, LSU will try their best to put together the spectacular season coastal Carolina to this point. So it’s not as if Chanticlers’ players are best friends with their opponents.
However, we have seen that this kind of question is dealt with much better in other sports in the past. It would have been easy for the Coastal Carolina players to present a simple message about how well LSU played up to this point.
Regardless of how you feel about the reply of the Coastal Carolina players, it was unapologetically authentic. Although, LSU players are likely to use it as fuel before Saturday’s game, which tHey is currently preferred at sports books.
