The main websites of adult pornhub, youporn and redube were again online at France On Friday after a court suspended a ruling required by the European Union -based porn platform for Verify user ages.

The owner of the three platforms, Aylo, based in Cyprus, had made his websites unavailable in France In early June as a protest against the French decree. Failure may have led to sanctions including fines or blocking websites.

France has gradually introduced requests this year to all adult websites for users to confirm their age with details such as a credit card or ID document. The intention is that Prevent minors from entering porn.

But the Paris administrative tribunal on Monday suspended a government decree while investigating whether it was in accordance with EU legislation. The French government has shared its intention to appeal to the State Council, the country’s highest administrative court.

Aylo said the suspension of the decree was an “opportunity to review the most efficient approaches” for age verification. The company argued that this was an ineffective mechanism that exposed people’s data to bad actors, hacks or leaks.

“Asking for you to provide repeatedly sensitive personal information creates an unacceptable security risk that we refuse to impose on our users,” the company said in a message displayed on the top pages of this month.

About 40% of children in France access to porn sites every month, according to a 2024 study by France Audiovisual Guards Arcom.

In an effort to maintain intimacy, the Government Decree also demanded that operators offer a “double” third -party option that would prevent platforms from viewing user identification information.

AYLO, which reports seven million visitors to France daily on its various platforms, has instead called on governments to seek manufacturers of operating systems such as Apple, Microsoft and Google to verify the ages of users at the level of individual equipment.

The platform also argues that French law “removes users in thousands of sites that deliberately bypass regulations” and fails to moderate videos on issues such as the age and consent of the performers.

Other countries such as the United Kingdom and Germany also implement age restrictions on adult websites.
