Rita Benson Leblanc, the one-time supposed successor to her grandfather, Tom Benson, as chief owner of the New Orleans Saints, was arrested in South Carolina.
Via WCSC TV, Leblanc is accused of assaulting an officer/city employee. Leblanc allegedly pushed a parking officer who tried to put a boot on her car. Leblanc, per authorities, also briefly took the officer’s parking tool.
The arrest took place on Monday, June 16. The next day she was released on a connection with personal recognition.
Leblanc previously served as the vice -chairman of the team’s board and was regarded as the person who would take over the team after the death of her grandfather. He suspended her in 2012, and he announced in early 2015 that she was no longer considered to follow him up.
Litigation has arisen. When the case was settled in 2016, Leblanc said She will continue to be a partial owner From the team.
We are confirming whether she is still. If so, she may be facing discipline under the policy of personal behavior.
