The prime minister has Spoken to President Trump After America’s attacks on Iran.

But, after all, the call before asking for an answer yes or no it didn’t come.

This does not mean that there may be no days and weeks to come.

The British government is announcing that as it was told in advance what Washington would do, did not participate and was not asked.

And so there was no call from President Trump asking the prime minister if the United Kingdom would be included, for example, through the authorization of US war planes to use the UK military base in Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean.

Continuing publicly publicly publicly for “de-escalation” as Sir Keir Starmer says, and seemingly private-raised questions within the government about the legality of inclusion, saying yes to a white-house request could be difficult.

But to say that it would not have been difficult too, after months of reliable efforts made in developing a good relationship with President Trump.

Washington acting alone and choosing to send his direct planes from America meant that the massive, binary decision by Sir Keir was not needed.

But depending on whether, as well as when Iran chooses to take revenge, some of these trade services can soon return.

For now, how should the UK approach be appreciated?

In short, the government wants the ends that America is following, but it is not apparently supporting the means.

In other words, it does not want an armed nuclear Iran.

But he doesn’t even say he supports Washington’s means to try to remove that result – the bombing of Tehran’s nuclear objects.

Conservatives see this as equivocation and “moral coward”.

On Friday, Foreign Secretary David Lammy, along with France, Germany and the European Union, met with Iran’s Foreign Minister in Geneva, Switzerland – but President Trump was publicly rejected by these efforts.

A day or later, and The attacks began.

As they did, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio spoke with Lammy by phone.

They had met a few days ago in Washington.

The Foreign Secretary has spoken again with his opposite Iranian number Abbas Araghchi.

The United Kingdom is encouraging Iran to speak directly with the SH.BA

Iran has made it clear for days that he will not talk to America while being hit by the Israelis.

And Lammy also spoke with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar, suppressing the issue for a diplomatic solution and the foreign ministers of Egypt and Cyprus – and then spoke back to Rubio.

The position of the United Kingdom, for now at least, is clear – the government believes that a diplomatic solution from now on is the best way to provide an Iran without nuclear weapons in the long run.

But America chose not to hear this argument from London, Paris, Berlin and elsewhere before its air strikes.

The question is whether it will have happened now.

We can expect a minister, surely the Foreign Secretary, face questions about all in Commons on Monday afternoon.

And on Tuesday, the Prime Minister, President Trump and many other Western leaders will gather in the Netherlands for the annual summit of the NATO military alliance. They will have a lot to discuss.
