Lautaro Martinez feels that Inter Milan must be “humble” after their 2-1 Fifa Club World Cup victory over Urawa Red Diamonds.

The Nerazzurri captain spoke via the Italian broadcaster Dazn Fcinternews. He also responded to his own acrobatic equalizer of the second half.

After the match, Inter Captain Lautaro Martinez said: “We said it in the first game, and at the beginning of the tournament: All the matches will be like that.”

“I’m from South America,” the 27-year-old continued. “And I saw how the South Americans played too.”

“They have so much heart,” Martinez said of teams from his home continent.

Nerazzurri captain Martinez reflected that “if a team should increase our sense of pride.”

“We have to be humble and learn to suffer,” he continued.

“We are sorry that we have conceded a goal of their only shot. We need to improve. ‘

“Now we have one last game to play in the squad,” Martinez said.

Martinez then acknowledged that “our quality sometimes drops against teams that run a lot and defend well.”

“We have to get our hands dirty,” the inter -captain declared. “Because it’s the things that count, and we have to grow.”
